Forget about your life situation for a while and pay attention to your life. Life situation may be full of problem. Ultimately, this is not about solving your problems. It is about realizing that there are no problems, only situations.
Problems are mind-made and need time to survive. You are the time provider!

You can improve your life situation, but you cannot improve your life. Life is primary, life is already whole and complete and perfect. Your life situation consists of your circumstances and your experiences. Meditation is not making your mind blank, but instead is learning to see things as they are and to live with things as they are.

Very often we feel cut off from our own experience and feelings. We are driven by the mind, by thought, by expectations, by fear, by wanting to get somewhere else. If you always want to be somewhere else, then you are never actually where you are, and for not fully alive.
